How does it work?
The Opus Plasma™ uses proprietary high-frequency unipolar radiofrequency (RF) technology to create tiny channels in your skin to jumpstart your body’s natural collagen production. The metal pins on the Opus Plasma™ system are supercharged with high RF energy which reacts to atmospheric pressure when placed near your skin, generating a surge of plasma. This procedure is similar to microneedling, but is more precise and controlled due to its microplasma technology—reducing inflammation and downtime.
What can I expect during the treatment?
A topical anesthetic is first applied to the treated area to minimize any discomfort. Once numb, your technician ‘rolls’ the charged handpiece over the treated area. The Opus Plasma™ has adjustable settings—from light, moderate to deep—making it super versatile for all types of skin. The length of treatment will depend on your personal skincare goals. Once the procedure is finished, a post procedural ointment is applied. You can expect about 1-2 days of redness and swelling, but you can typically return to your regular schedule immediately following the treatment.
